So, this is me – Busy mum to two beautiful boys who absolutely keep me on my toes. Wife to Farmer Ben, who likes to think he keeps me on my toes, but really we all know its the other way around. Mum to two Yorkie fur babies (Sonny-Leigh and Tinkerbell Princess of the Fairies. Yes, really). Huge lover of things that baaa and will always fall head over Hunters (wellies!) with the smallest, weakest lambs – which are the main reason that you’ll find me crying (a lot) at lambing time!

I’m huge on family and spend as much time as I can with them.  I am mad about the colour pink, have a huge passion for interior design, and am my happiest when in my wellies, with my boys and taking a stroll through our beautiful woods.

I’m a singer and a dancer (I didn’t say a good one) and not on the stage but rather in my kitchen, usually when cooking tea, but i’m a huge believer that it’s good for your soul. Lately I’ve decided to let the inner, spiritual Chloe shine through after many years of keeping her locked away through fear of being laughed at or judged, now I’ve reached the big 30 my thoughts are ‘sod it!’

When I’m not keeping house and home, helping on the farm and being a mummy, I’m writing, blogging and sharing my life with well, you!

In 2018 I was fortunate enough to be nominated for the Countryfile Farming Hero Award and made it to the final 3! My five minutes of fame opened up a whole load of doors for me and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed peeking behind each one! The whole experience was amazing from start to finish and one that I’ll always be proud of and will never forget.

Anyway, over the last few years and all the madness, or craziness, that’s followed it’s inspired me to take that leap and start “blogging”. I have always had a passion for reading and writing but never really had anything to write about, until now…

Another year has come to an end and I can’t quite believe it has. Its zoomed by and each year that we see seems to get faster and faster. Is this what getting old feels like?

Surviving Harvest

Harvest time is gruelling, and not just for the farmer. I mean, of course we feel for them don’t we ladies? They’re up at the crack of dawn, into the tractor and off they go! Sometimes not coming back in until the wee hours of the morning to get a few hours of shut eye before they’re at it again. You’ve got to be made of tough stuff...
