Yeast Cake


1 1/2 lbs strong white bread flour

5 oz Marg

5 oz sugar

1 oz yeast

6-8 oz sultanas

¾ pint warm milk and water

Put yeast & milk and warm water in basin to rise

Mix all dry ingredients in bowl

Add the milk & water

Put in warm place to rise

Then put in tins to rise again

Put in oven 20 – 25 minutes

Note: if using dried yeast add ½ teaspoon sugar to milk.
